PALOMAR COLLECTION 2011While attending Laguna College of Art and Design (1998-2001) I saved approximately 800 Paper towels that I used to clean my brushes; they were just too beautiful to throw away. I have kept them pressed for the passed 12 years not knowing what I would do with them, until I came upon the idea too laminate them to remnants of trees that were harvested from the Palomar Fire of 2007. The collection represents the concepts of reincarnation; from the wood to paper and back to wood; a complete cycle represented by an artistic statement. |
